Australian Public Service Commission

The Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) required a central location to base its operations. The Treasury building was completely built from base building up to create a new fitout for the department.

Client:
Australian Public Service Commission

Designer:
COX Architecture

Delivery Model:
Lump Sum

Location:
Canberra, ACT

Duration:
9 weeks

Project Size:
5,000 m2

It was critical that the client was able to move in on the contracted date to meet the rent agreement. The secure building required police checks to be arranged for tradies, and delayed responses resulted in escorting tradies for a large portion of the project. The design also required ongoing workshops to resolve buildability issues.

Our team worked closely with project consultants, end users, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works and design suited the project. We allocated additional resources to manage and coordinate works and schedule in longer working days to maximise output without fatigue issues. The APSC benefited from our engagement as we interpreted and delivered the key project outcomes for the client.
