In an effort to retain its mantle as the country’s most prestigious office tower, 101 Collins Street in Melbourne replaced a whole floor, ground-level car park with a luxury end-of-trip facility boasting:
- Personal grooming stations,
- 44 showers
- WC amenities
- Lounge seating
- 600 lockers
- Parking for 500 bikes
Sophisticated detailing and natural, tactile materials were used to achieve a warm and well-refined aesthetic.
Attention to detail was a key to the look and feel of the interior with elegant features including 1,200 individually measured, cut and polished natural stone pieces, brass detailing, terrazzo and rich timbers that all contribute to the opulence in the spaces, reflecting the 5 star luxury ‘hotel approach’ towards the 101 Collins End of Trip Facility Project.
This premium space will challenge the status quo and set new standards for End of Trip facilities in Australia.
The scope of works involved transforming an existing and live operational car park to a High End and highly functional End of Trip Facility and bike storage facility. This involved an extensive services upgrade to service the facility and significant structural demolition and construction works to alter the existing structure and car park ramps to suit the proposed layout.
