KPMG required an office expansion to accommodate additional staff, and upgrade their existing client facilities and meeting rooms.

The new offices incorporated flexible meeting spaces equipped with video conferencing, audiovisual, operable walls, motorised blinds and curtains and a fully equipped kitchen.

By moving client facilities to a new space, KPMG created extra room for workstations in their main office, enabling them to locate staff in the one area. KPMG now have fully catered meeting spaces and training rooms and can hold most of their functions ‘in house’, giving them greater flexibility.

The feature meeting rooms were constructed by SHAPE as a room within a room. The ‘pod’ was built on a raised and illuminated floor with an exposed concrete ceiling which featured sprayed polyurethane fins to form a facade. The pod also had an operable dividing wall which separated the space into two large meeting rooms. Many of the detailed features involved in the pod meant our project team had to put in considerable overtime to ensure the quality matched not only the client’s expectations, but also the KPMG brand.
