Managing Contractor to GMP
SHAPE were engaged by QBE to manage the design and fitout of this three-floor WELLS accredited project within a new-build tower located at 839 Collins St Docklands.
The scope of the project included an inter-tenancy stair, client floor with high-end finishes and furniture, multiple breakout spaces and various workstation types.
The client identified the delivery of a functional and easy to use Audio Visual service as their key value. SHAPE focused on facilitating the coordination between all interfacing consultants to ensure this was achieved.
The ECI phase was critical to project success. It allowed an aggressive design program an early start on site. SHAPE undertook value management throughout each phase of the design and closely managed milestones and coordination of consultant submissions. As a result, the project was delivered on budget and successfully met an aggressive PC date.
SHAPE was also present on day one of the projects, providing first-class aftercare to the client and QBE staff, answering any questions about their new space and helping them get settled.
